DT Layouts

Happy day! Happy Cinco de Mayo, too! Happy Birthday to my dear friend, Robin. :-)
I just finished a couple of layouts for the DT over at Shabby Chic Memories. She really put a great kit together! I love all the Melody Ross goodies! Also, she is having a Mother's Day sale where you buy 2 past kits and get one free!

Have a fantabulous day!!!

DT peeks

Hi there!
Well, I got my new DT kit in the mail from Shabby Chic Memories and what fun I had making some yum, yums! :-) Here are some peeks:

And the Olympics... Gosh I will be sad when they are over, but last night was so exciting with the speed skating events! So excited for the women and men who skate for the US! Then, there was the slalom skiing. I was sad for the US women; they worked so hard! But, I'm proud of what they did accomplish, too.
Olympic quote of the day: "It's like her legs are at a rock concert and her upper body is at the opera." -announcer of the women's slalom ski event.

sunshine and more layouts

Hi there! Well, we actually had some warm, sunny weather here last weekend. It was such a nice change from the below freezing temps we had before. We went to the park with Libby and played and sat in the sun. Good times...
Also, the latest kit from Shabby Chic Memories "All You Need is Love" is out, but she is almost sold out, so if you want one, you better go get it! It features an altered chipboard bird that I designed a while back... Here are a couple layouts I've done so far...

Hope you're having a great week so far!
PS - If you are looking for a reputable charity to give to Haiti relief, we've sponsored children through World Vision for years and have donated through them.

Boston layouts

More to share from my awesome "Flea Market Findings" kit! I guess it being so cold out, keeps me in scrappin'!
I used the thumbnail photo sheet for this awesome Filmstrip ribbon by Tim Holtz! If you don't get a thumbnail sheet, you can make one in Picasa by selecting all the photos you want on one, then hit "Create" on the menu bar, then, "Picture Collage".
Bye for now! Hope you have a fabulous day!

More layouts.

Many scrappers can attest that when the mo-jo is flowin', you gotta scrap while it lasts! So, here are two more layouts I did for the DT at Shabby Chic Memories (you can see her blog to see all the layouts if you wanna).
Hope you're snuggled in and keeping warm!

busy elf

I know, it's a busy time of year! Well, this year, I decided to make most of my gifts... I started 2 new craft projects this year and they have both kept me busy, but I can only share one with you right now since someone I made the others for reads my blog... But the one I can share with you is a quilt I made. I've been wanting to try and make a quilt for a while now. What better time that Christmas! I made my MIL a lap quilt for the couch. But, I purchased the throw at TJ Maxx because it was less expensive than buying that "minky" fabric and filling, etc. I thought I would do the top quilt part and just stitch it to the throw. Well, it was more difficult to get everything straight than I thought it would be. My hubby tried to make me feel better by saying that it looks great and she'll love it. It looks crooked. But, as long as she doesn't hang it on the wall, maybe she won't notice?Alright, next up, something I know how to do... Scrapbook! Here are two more DT layouts for Shabby Chic Memories...
Me and my mom...
My little brother
Hope you are enjoying your Christmas season! Even though I'm busy, I still am really enjoying this time of year. It really IS the most wonderful time of the year!
