Finally finished.
Here's a peek at the extra large tags that I finished for eBay. They took me a while, but I wanted each one to be a little different. They really turned out adorable and I'm tempted to keep them for myself! :-)

After I post them to eBay, I will put a link here. Happy Friday!!!

Already?
Christmas is in the air! Well, not really, but it seems like it's in all the stores already. So, I was inspired to start another set of 25 days of Christmas tags. Here's a peek:
These are the large (3"x6") tags. You could add them to your Christmas scrapbook pages, put them together with a binder ring and have an album (you could put pics on the backs of them), or even use them as adorable gift tags! Never mind that it will be 80 degrees here today. :-)

Hummer-Moth
Okay, all you fellow bird lovers out there... I saw this little cutie while watering this morning. He was probably only as big as a large bumble bee. Good thing he hung around for me to do the 5 second dash upstairs to get my camera!
Got to do a little scrappin' last night with my friend Jodi. We talked and giggled more than scrapped, but that's fine with me! :-) Will post some creative thingies soon!

Inspiration
I've been in a little, tiny scrapbook rut. I guess it happens to everyone. The business of life, etc. But, recently I took an "old" scrapbook magazine with me to the pool. It was from 2008. I got inspired and thought I'd share this idea with you... Inside the pages, I found layouts with supplies that I still have lots of and love! Yeaaa! So, I was inspired to use my Making Memories, Passport line to create this layout.
Remember this line!? Tooooo cute! So, your challenge, should you accept it, dig out those old magazines and be inspired to use that stash! Don't go see Cowboys vs. Aliens, scrap instead. :-)

Landscaping - Final!
It's finished! Well, almost. We are still going to put a white picket fence around the house, but they can't come for 2 more weeks. After the fence gets put in, then we will plant the Jasmine every few feet on the fence and the purple Clematis on either side of the front gate... When they were finished, I felt like those people from HGTV who get surprised by their dramatically transformed _____. Although I was watching every step of the way, it's still awesome to see it all come together right at the end!
Patio (plants that are in pots are the Jasmine to be planted on the fence later)
Oh! And that garden stool (LOVE) got it for $40 at a going-out-of-business sale!

Okay, and I do have a little Scrapbook layout to share.... Hopefully, I can do more today! :-)

More coming soon! :-) Happy Saturday!

Landscaping project - Week 2.5
Okay, things have been clipping along and now the exciting stuff is happening! Plants and trees! Here is a shot from the end of week 2.... The patio is nearly completed. This is the view from our master bedroom balcony...
The miniature coral roses on the edge will be in front of the Italian Cypress trees. Along the back, Nellis Holly for a privacy screen. The patio is flagstone.
I hope to be able to scrap again soon! I see the light at the end of the tunnel! So many decisions, so much sun! LOL!

Landscaping project - Week 1
Big one, too. When we bought our house in December, it was distinctly missing some landscaping.
We decided to do a terraced patio with dry stack wall and flag stone for the patio. There will be trees, of course. We love evergreens, so cypress are in order.

Still much to be done, but they've already installed sprinklers and the wall is almost complete! After next week, no more moving that stinkin' sprinkler around all summer! Wahooo! Free at last!!!
Hope you're having a great summer so far!

Before: Side yard on the right, empty. No fence, not much of anything...

Little Scrappin
Finally finished a layout from out California trip. I had this sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks now. :-) I have a box of new goodies to work with, but need to clean up before I can start another project again. That's just the way I am... Can't help it. Anyone else have that problem?

So, I know it will probably take me a bit to clean up my scrap room mess. Hopefully, I can get to scrap more soon!

More Va-Ca pics
On Wednesday, we went to the wildlife sanctuary on the island to see all of the cool birds. This guy (the Reddish Egret) was so cool. He caught is fish by flapping his wings and dancing around. I guess this confuses the fish so they don't know which way to go. He was entertaining!
I wish this pic would have turned out better, but this is the very pretty White Ibis
I believe these were pin fish or pencil fish.
Brace yourself, here come the beautiful Roseate Spoonbills!

More coming! :-) Happy Tuesday!

Beach time!
Greetings!
Well, we just got back from our vacation. We try and go every year around our anniversary and my birthday. We've been married 13 years now! WOW! This year we went to Sanibel Island, Florida. It was very pretty there and everything a nature and animal lover would enjoy. The birds were amazing and so tame. They are used to lots of people taking their photos and even seemed to pose for some!
In our room at the Seaside Inn, Sanibel Island. The inn was wonderful with a salt water pool and right on the beach. The carpet and breakfast could use improvement, but that's no biggie to us. The use of free beach cruiser bikes and beach chairs more than made up for it. The location on the island was great too.
View of the beach from the Lighthouse on the island.
See, he's posing! He was beautiful. I still have to look him up and see what kind of hawk he is. Neal thinks red-shouldered.
Okay, more photos and details to follow! Hope you're having a great spring!

a little decorating...
Hello! I've just been busy getting the house the way I want it. As most of you know, it takes some time to get a house the way you want it when you move in. The main floor of the house is pretty open but builder beige. I've always wanted a blue living room and chose Benjamin Moore, Ocean Air. So, I started painting, decorating, and arranging... Here is the mantel and you can see the new blue walls. So far, so good!

More pictures and details coming soon! :-) Time for me to get back to painting!
