Hubby's birthday is coming up and there is lots to do! Well, not really. He got what he wanted for his birthday already. He even picked it out and ordered it. It was easy for me, but he had to pick it out and order it because I know nothing about keyboards! I got him a few other little things to actually open on his birthday. Another thing we do almost every year is go camping for his birthday. We leave tomorrow and that's why I did not get that cute little, canvas travel album done :-( But, we'll only be gone until Tuesday, so I should be able to finish and list it Thursday.
Because blogging with no pictures is no fun, I'm uploading a photo I took on our camping trip last year. I'm really looking forward to a couple days of R&R. Peace and quite. And if the fishing is no good, I should have a couple of layouts to share! Bye for now!

767 and more fun!

Hello! I've been craving to scrap some of my own photos and have decided that I will do the much attainable goal of 2 layouts a month and go from there. I hope to do more, but I'll start small. Here is what we did this past weekend. My husband flies for ATI and they purchased a 767 and had a kind of open house down at the airport. We went and checked out the new paint job, new cargo (instead of passengers) area, and of course the cockpit. Can you believe I forgot my camera at home?! But, I do have a camera on my phone and I was so glad! What a handy thing to have! Anyway, here is the layout I did from this past weekend...

Oh! I just discovered that 12x12 paper fits into my typewriter! I was so excited to figure that out. Now, I can type directly onto my layouts! Also, another cool thing I did on these layouts was stamped on the photos with white ink. I used the Stampin' Up! White pigment ink and Ali Edwards' travel stamps that they sold at Cocoa Daisy.

And, I've started working on this little cutie... I can't get enough of the MM Passport line, can you tell? That and CANVAS! YUM! So, here is the cover, but the inside will have pages for journaling and photos. Cute little mini album for photos from vacation. I should have this done and ready to put on eBay Thursday... That is IF I don't have jury duty this week! FUN! :-)

Lately.

Let's see... What have I been up to lately... My mom came for a vist and we had lots of fun girl time. Except for the day I had to go to jury duty. That day, mom stayed home and painted. She made me a lovely acrylic painting from a photo I took in Tuscany a few years ago. So pretty! We did girly things like go see "Momma Mia" and a dinner theater play, "Guys and Dolls". All great times. Thanks for the visit mom!
And here's a sneak peek of a layout I finished yesterday. Loving blues and greens with a little pink accent color lately. A fun summer layout I'll put on eBay late afternoon today.

Hello there! Well, it's finally starting to feel like home around here. We are almost all unpacked and the basement is the "final frontier" to take on. But, I finally finished these adorable lunch boxes. I love, love, love all Making Memories lines and wanted to do these cutie pie boxes for eBay (will put them up later today). They have 12 little file folders inside (one for each month of baby's first year). The outside will be customized to baby's name, too. Talk to you soon!!!

Hello there! Well, I am finally getting settled in and have Internet up and running. My new scraproom is much smaller and I'm still getting it organized. I made this cute curtain after seeing the one in the new CK mag this month... I was inspired. I had to do something to this room to get my mojo going. Okay, keep in mind, I still have a ways to go in this room, but here are some shots anyway.

Sorry it's been a bit... I've been busy moving! We only moved across town, but still it's a lot of work. Internet is yet to be connected properly, but I'll update again when that happens. Should be sometime this week. I hope! Talk to you soon!!!

Hi there! Okay, I just finished my first layout from our Seaside trip. The new camera takes fabulous photos (even for a beginner like me) and I love the way this pink and orange flower turned out. Sorry for being MIA for a bit... I forgot to post before we left, but we went down to Florida for a little R&R. We celebrated our 10-year anniversary and my birthday (I'm not telling which one). Hubby got me a awesome new digital SLR camera! I love it! I'm still figuring it out though. It is super easy to use, but there is a lot to learn, too. As most of you know, today is National Scrapbook Day!!! What better thing to do that scrapbook today! I also fell in love today... With this new Making Memories line, that is! This stuff is so ME. I was totally inspired to make something with these new goodies when I tore open the box and saw the beautiful-ness of it all. Here's the latest from my "a while ago" photos. Well, I've been going back through my photo boxes and getting rid of extra photos and putting the ones I know I want to scrap into sheet protectors in my albums. I've been inspired to do a layout here and there in my "older" albums. Actually, taking a break from going through photo boxes and creating layouts is a welcomed break! Here are a couple I made for my 2004 album. I love papers that I don't need to add much in order to look beautiful!

Spring cleaning.

I've been taking on a cleaning project here and there all over my house. This weekend (among yard work) I'll be cleaning out about 10 huge boxes of photos. I'll put the ones I want to scrap in the appropriate albums in sheet protectors and {gasp!} throw the rest away! Wow, did I really say that? Well, yes. My thought is that I'll scrap the great photos and keep it simple. If I want copies of the rest, I can always do that later with negatives or CDs. I will attempt to fit about 10 large boxes of photos and negatives and CDs into about 4-5 shoe box size boxes. Wish me luck! So, last night when I was going through some pictures, I found these lovelies that were taken when my mom was here for a visit in 2006. I had scrapped some of the photos from her trip, but not all the ones I wanted to. I'm keeping it simple, but still telling my story and getting these memories in albums.
