more directions.

Sorry it took me a bit to get the rest of these directions done. Unusal life happenings going on right now, but it'll all be fine once we get used to having another person in our home. My little brother has come to live with us for a bit.
Anyway, about the directions... For the inside pages, I pretty much use cardstock, patterned papers and some Hambly goodies. I love alternating the clear with the unclear and having different size pages. Makes life more interesting! I used some of the Hambly photo frames and also some Hambly 12x12 transperancies that I cut into forths.
Here are the photos...

For the back of the album, I completed most of my final page and before I glued it all down, I put the acrylic cover over the back page and decided which rub-ons I liked the best for the back. With that in mind, I adhere my last page down and put my rubon on the back cover. Easy

clear directions.

In case you are in need of some tips or direction for the clear albums, I will be posting some tonight and some this weekend.

First of all, take the binder rings out. The album is much easier to work on this way.
Next, I used Hambly rub-ons on the cover. These work SOOO good! You could also use Stazon ink and stamp your desired design on the cover. When I create the cover and the first page, I pretty much make them at the same time. I cut a sheet of patterned paper to fit (in this case 8x8) and work on the cover first and knowing that I will want to put a photo on the first page, I leave a space for that when embellishing my cover. I adhere the acrylic letters with Diamond Glaze (a clear adhesive). I used half a Heidi Swap frame at the top of the acrylic cover and one at the bottom. (I will put the place and date in this spot on the first page.) I tied a ribbon to the tag and used a glue dot to adhere it to the cover. So far, so good! More coming this weekend!

A friend of mine sent me an e-mail with photos of the perfect man the other day. This was one of my fav's.

good day.

Did a few minor things around the house today. Then, we went fishing on the lake we live on. So pretty here today. Not very humid and cooler than the past couple days. Just lovely.

goodies.

YUMMY! New Love Elsie goodies!!! I'm getting these babies ready to list on eBay! What fun!
Also, listing more pretty, vintage-y tags on Etsy! These are so fun to make!
Also getting ready to list another acrylic album for next week! I'm creating one and possibly listing a kit of one. These things are way cool! Rub-ons work wonderfully on the cover of the acrylic, too.

update.

Here's the thing... Ebay costs a lot, Etsy does not. Hmm... That rhymes. But anyway, I've decided that if something does not first sell on Ebay, I will sell it on Etsy instead of paying to relist it on Ebay. So, if you were interested in something and missed out on Ebay and were waiting for it to be re-listed, you may want to check my Etsy shop and see if it's there.

In other news, today I'm having a couple of gals over for a class! What fun and excitement! But, I probably should clean up a bit. For the class, there will be acrylic albums, Hambly, Heidi Swapp and lots more goodies flying around! Sometime, maybe today after I clean up a bit, I'll post pictures of my scrap area. But, for now, here are some kits that I'll be putting on Etsy.

Scrapping, scrapping.

Hello there! Okay, I have some eye candy for you! YEA!! Here are some sneak peeks of the Teacher's or possibly Student Planner I will be listing on EBay late this afternoon. It is about 9x11 and will be a weekly view calendar instead of my usual monthly view. I just love these cheery Scenic Route papers! YUM!
The "House" album kits I have listed right now are WAAAAY below actual cost of the items in the kit, so get a good deal on one and you can make an adorable album!

This is a layout I did a while back, but never put it up anywhere. It's the first layout in my 2007 album. These are photos from our back yard one early morning sunrise.
Next, are some layouts from Hawaii. I love these We Are Memory Keepers 3-ring, linnen albums becuase I can easily combine different size layouts. Here are some layouts with photos of flowers that I took on Oahu and Kauaii. I used a landscape 8.5"x11" page protector and punched the holes where I wanted it to line up in the binder and there you have it! I thought it added interest to my gobs of flower photos, too.

Oh, I will also be putting some more cards up on my Etsy shop soon! Have a great day and stay cool!

More fun.

I've started on my Hawaii photos. I usually scrap the most inspiring photos I have on hand. At the moment, it's my Hawaii photos. I took over 350, so I'm sure these will keep me busy for a while!

Also, my Etsy shop is looking better. It was super easy to set up (and even more easy to buy stuff)! Here are a couple bigger pictures of what I put on yesterday...
